Documents and papers required to apply via the platforms
To complete the transaction successfully via the specified official electronic platforms, please prepare and prepare the following documents and supporting papers:
- The work permit application form is certified by the stamp and signature of the employer or official sponsor.
- A copy of the expatriate employee’s passport and his previous valid residency in the country.
- The employee’s academic qualification is certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kuwaiti Cultural Attaché abroad.
- A financial clearance certificate for the employee and the company’s workforce.

Access the easier service portal of the Public Authority for Manpower in the State of Kuwait.
Step 2
Submit a request to issue a new work permit and fill out the required academic and professional qualifications.
Step 3
Linking the application to the fees payment system and paying fees via the K-Net electronic platform.
Step No. 4
Issuing a documented electronic work permit and updating the employee’s file at Passports and Interior.
Expert Advice: Exemptions and Exceptions
Small enterprises or entrepreneurs are exempt from some fees according to the government decisions currently in effect.
Emergency alternatives (manual procedure)
In the event that the electronic portal malfunctions or there are technical issues, you must book an appointment and visit the Ministry’s branches to complete the procedure manually.
