Documents and papers required to apply via the platforms
To complete the transaction successfully via the specified official electronic platforms, please prepare and prepare the following documents and supporting papers:
- A copy of the employee’s passport valid for more than 6 months.
- A carefully documented and signed employment contract between the company and the employee, specifying the salary.
- An approved medical examination for the employee issued by licensed medical centers in the Kingdom.
- The employee’s professional or academic certificate is officially authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Entering the Expatriate Employment System (EMS) of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority in Bahrain.
Step 2
Submit an application for a new work permit and upload the concluded contract, passport, and academic qualifications.
Step 3
Pay the standard fees for entry visas and labor market permits electronically through the portal.
Step No. 4
Issuing a work visa, residence approval, confirming passport data, and issuing a CPR number.
Expert Advice: Exemptions and Exceptions
Small enterprises or entrepreneurs are exempt from some fees according to the government decisions currently in effect.

In the event that the electronic portal malfunctions or there are technical issues, you must book an appointment and visit the Ministry’s branches to complete the procedure manually.
